Superman Returns

Here is another poster I bought from Malaysia (for $26.80). Cool, right?

Disney Pixar Cars Poster

Looks like I've got to plan my retirement in Malaysia liao ... Read on to find out just how much the cost of living is like in little sunny Singapore. Seems to me that only the tow kay (businessmen) who sell their goods to us at such high premiums get to retire here hor...
.
I was looking around for this poster in Singapore. Finally got to see one at Suntec, only to find out that it cost $60. I went in to Malaysia, & purchase exactly the same one for RM59 ( approx $26.80).
.
Good right? This one carries the full cast & crew, all-in-one.
.
I watched the DVD version together with my then 2 yr old son, & I got hooked with this show. My son must have watched it over 400 times, cos he played it everyday for the last one year.

Don't Assume

Standing in front of a shredder with a piece of paper in his hand.

"Listen," said the CEO, "this is a very sensitive & important document, & my secretary has left. Can you make this thing work?"

"Certainly," said the young executive. He turned the machine on, inserted the paper, & pressed the start button.

"Excellent, excellent!" said the CEO as his paper disappeared inside the shredder machine. "I just need one copy."

Moral of the story:
NEVER, NEVER ASSUME THAT YOUR BOSS KNOWS EVERYTHING

Goals & Means

First, have a definite, clear practical ideal; a goal, an objective.
Second, have the necessary means to achieve your ends; wisdom, money, materials, & methods.
Third, adjust all your means to that end."

Vente quid levius?

A Latin Poem:

Vente quid levius? fulgur.
Quid fulgure? flamma
Flamma quid? mulier.

Quid mulier? nihil.

- Unattributed Author, Harleian Manuscript

Translated, it means:

What is lighter than the wind? A feather.
What is lighter than a feather? Fire.
What lighter than a fire? A woman.
What lighter than a woman? Nothing.
